Are you happy with your and/or your employees's results?

I am absolutely convinced that, regardless of the business you’re in - regardless of your position in the business…even if you don’t own a business, and your business is being a single mom or a single dad, or a stay-at-home mom or dad…I am just absolutely convinced that, what matters most…I mean what really matters most (pause), is our results: THE NAME OF THE GAME IS RESULTS! We have been conditioned to look at our results as they relate to our finances. But we get results in every area of our lives. We get results in our spiritual world and in our relationships. We get results in the health of our physical body and in our personal and professional development. And we certainly get results financially. But, you know, when we think about results, here is a question that every single one of you should be able to answer, and that is: what is the primary cause of my results? Now, if we ask a technician in the field, they may say “product knowledge”. If we ask a manager, they will say “teamwork, purpose and vision”. If we ask an owner, they say “our bottom line or research and development”. Again, I think we say these things because we have been programmed to determine our results by what we do. We define our results by what we have accomplished, and not necessarily who we are. I’m not just talking about the results you get in your life financially, or in your life in terms of business. The question is: what is the primary cause of your results in every aspect of your life: in your health, in your relationships, in your spiritual life? You know, after studying for many years in the field of human development and corporate growth, I have come to the conclusion that the primary cause of our results is our attitude. Now, for most people, that is a simple and disappointing answer. And if you’re anything like me, you’ve been told your entire life that, if you would improve your attitude, you would improve your results. Our manager tells us if we improve our attitude, we will get better results. Our coaches have told us on the baseball field that, if we improve our attitude, our performance on the field will be better. If we employ people, we tell them if they improve their attitude, they can move further up the chain. In a marriage your spouse tells you “with that attitude, not much is going to happen back here”. So you see, attitude does control the quality of everything in our lives. The question here is what is attitude? If we can’t clearly define what it is, how can we inspire someone to change it? Now, through my study…through my work in personal development…I found out that attitude is a composite of our thoughts, our feelings, and our actions. It is not just one of these, but really all of them combined. to continue reading this article, please go to: http://www.massa.baroudi.com
